an exciting way to showcase the different areas of the band. The showstopper / musical theatre style is an ideal opener to the 2nd part of a concert. If practical, each section should stand to play their allocated section as follows:
Bar 24: Percussion
Bar 26: All Bass instruments with Euphonium if needed
Bar 37: Trombones
Bar 48: French Horns and Euphoniums (+Baritones)
Bar 61: Saxophones
Bar 74: High w/w: Flutes, Oboe, and Clarinets
Bar 87: Trumpets/Cornets/Flugel
Vamp Bars: These bars enable the conductor to introduce the section and repeat continuously as needed. The first of these is to include unpitched percussion.
NB. The percussion are free to develop their own bars c.8 to 16 bars long on whichever instruments they wish.
Bar 97: The whole band
In the Final bars, each group stands if able.
Bar 29: All Bass instruments with Euphonium if needed
