Larch Music will need to make sure that your work is suitable for our target market and we will give you a quick decision as to whether we want to publish it or not. If we do, you will receive an agreement (Contract) detailing the conditions for publication. Our agreement is very much straight forward and easy to understand and if after receiving an agreement you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.
You will no doubt know that copyright exists on any work written by someone else who died in the last 70 years, and this is regardless of whether this work is published or not. Before we can publish an arrangement of a such work, copyright clearance MUST be obtained from the publisher. If your arrangement is of music that is still in copyright, then Larch Music will try to gain clearance to publish the arrangement on your behalf with the copyright owners. If clearance is granted for us to publish your arrangement, then Larch Music can go ahead and publish your arrangement once an agreement has been completed.
We will not publish any arrangements that does not have copyright clearance!.
Except in very special cases, usually music written by a composer who died before 1936 is not subject to copyright. The copyright to original compositions belongs to the original composer. Larch Music is very interested in original compositions written for any medium and would be very interested to hear from you regarding these.
Scores can be sent to us via email - music@larchmusic.co.uk
